Northern Lebanon Wrestling has always been the best. Between winning section and District titles, to qualifying for states, they just keep getting better. They ended the season last year with an overall record of 21-4 and had 6 wrestlers qualify for states, Kyler Anspach, Luke Funck, Colin Leonard, Trevor Leonard, Hunter Wallace, and Zach Kelley. They won the Section, League, District, and Regional Championships and reached the state finals as a team.
The head coach, our very own Mr. Russell Wallace, has high hopes for the upcoming season.
“We try and never compare one team to another, but these guys want to do what last year’s team was able to do.”
So far, the team is living up to their potential. The Vikings are currently undefeated in dual meets, and have placed high in both the Solanco Tournament and the prestigious King of the Mountain Tournament.
Look out for the return of Colin Leonard, Kyler Anspach, Luis Negreiros, Stevie Herb, Blaise Bressler, Brandon Breidegan, Ethen Herb, Kyle Sonnen, Chase Bressler, Alex Martz, Nick Winters, and Seth Fischer along with newcomers Ethan Walmer, Seth Ebersole, Kai Whitman, Michael Marlowe, Cole Messimer, Nick Goodyear, and Brendan Maderia.
The Vikings are at home Thursday, December 21 vs Elco. Come on out and support the team!
