How to know how to study for QB position
- QBs are actually very complicated to decide who to put in because you can only put in one. You need to really know the QB to know how they are gonna do. Are they a running QB? Are they a accurate thrower? Or do they usually just hand off and not generate a lot of points.
- A running QB or a Mobile QB such as Marcus Mariota and Cam Newton are dangerous and known for breaking some big runs and running into the endzone. You want to study the defense they are playing. See what they play in. Do they do a 3 man front, 4 man front, or 5 man front. Do they do a lot of Man or Zone coverage. Are they a good Run Stop defense or a Pass coverage defense. Watch past games and see how QB before have done running against them.
- For Passing QBs you want to study the cornerbacks that are playing against their wide receivers. If they are playing against a good secondary maybe you don't want to start them because interceptions hurt your points a lot.
- Running backs are a lot easier of a position to pick for because if the defense you are playing are garbage then put him in. But you do have to make sure he's 100% ready for a game. You also have to make sure his lineman are up to game speed as well. Without the lineman he can’t perform his magic.
- Wide receivers and Tight ends takes a lot of studying. WR and TEs require studying the defense secondary. If the defensive secondary is known to be a monster pass defensive, you wont get as much passes towards your WR or TE. Also your QB has to be healthy and your line has to be as well.
