Fantasy football is not just a game it can actually be a way of life for some people. These people just don’t pick random players and put them in the line up. It requires studying, common sense, and knowledge of the teams themselves. Fantasy football is a online team building strategic hobby for football lovers to test their knowledge and make some cash in the process. Here are some major key tips when you pick for the draft itself.
Tips for drafting
- For your first pick try to pick a running back. Most people pick running backs, because they usually generate the most points.
- Always do research on players and how they did years before. Players can and will drop off over time. Just because the player was great 2 years ago and sucked the other 5 years he played doesn’t mean he is a good player. He had one good year, he sucks! Do not draft him. Instead look for guys who are consistent and always have a good year. You want the players you can depend on not the players who are a hit or miss.
- Rookies are a 50/50 be careful when choosing them. There is a big jump from college to the Nfl. sometimes rookies just arent ready for that game speed and can't keep up with it. Also if the rookie goes to the Browns don’t draft them.
- Make sure if good players change to different teams you do research on the team itself. It doesn’t matter if he's the best Wide receiver in the world, if he doesn't have a good quarterback he won't get the ball thrown to him. Look at how that teams line is as well. Just because the team has the best running back, wide receivers, and quarterback on one team doesn’t mean they are point makers. Without a line they are worthless. Instead do the research and find the best possible choice.
- ALWAYS CHECK BYE WEEKS. A rookie mistake is getting a lot of the same team players and not even thinking about the bye week. Try to get players from different teams and always have backups that play on different weeks.
- Always have extras in each position so that during bye weeks and injuries you have people to put in your line up.
