Julian and Marcus were history investigators investigating a cave that was rumored to house the foundations of a fallen kingdom known as Holy Ancient Hyrule. No one knows the kingdom’s location except over rumors. Marcus and Julian were sent in to investigate the cave that has many line and dots drawn on the wall.
“What do these lines and dots carved mean Marcus?”, asked Julian.
“It looks like morse code.”
“Morse code?”
“- .... . / .--. . .- -.- / --- ..-. / - .... . / -- --- ..- -. - .- .. -.”
“The peak of the mountain?”
Julian pondered the mountain near the cave named Death Mountain.
“The mountain is really a volcano Julian. This can’t be the location of the kingdom!”, Marcus exclaimed.
“Maybe this leads to another clue. The volcano was known for many rituals! Maybe we will find new clues to the lost kingdom.
The two men traveled to the inactive volcano for many years. Rocks as lava that once flowed freely has now subsided to cool, inactive life. Death mountain has been known to have many visitors after a long period of inactive activity. People have laid flowers, offerings, notes, and artifacts in ancient times to give tribute to the volcano to make it not explode as they believed in the fire god, Pyron.
Marcus walked up to one of the offering locations and found an ancient letter very brittle and weak but had ink on it showing a very confusing message.
“It’s tons of letters all scrambled up!” Marcus exclaimed as he looked long and hard.
R N O H R V R
U T T E I E
“This looks like Rail fence coding! Julian take a look closely!”
Julian proceeded to inspect the note.
“The letters are zigzagged so that it creates a message Marcus!”
Marcus looked over the note and said, “Run to the River.”
The closest river to the volcano was known as Zora River. It feeds into the new city founded in the new land. They headed to the legendary river rumored to have be used for secret army strikes by naval forces to guard ocean borders.
Marcus and Julian are walking along the mouth of the river and find on the wall a writing. A long message read as:
“How are you darling? You always seem so busy. Right now I’m helping set up for the river festival! Utmost tempo has been put into action create the stages. Let’s just say it was very annoying with some of our workers being such slackers. Everyone here is awaiting food! Friends of ours were able to support the food bank and allowed us to have a huge feast. I for one enjoyed the feast. Everyone enjoyed music as we partied through the night. Let’s hope for more riches and your safe return! Do make haste to return!”
“Julian I don’t understand what this message is supposed to mean.”
Marcus knew it was something hidden within the writing.
“If this long message was written on a wall and not paper there has to be meaning behind it. Let us look at the first letter of each sentence.”
The first letters of each sentence spelled out: HYRULE FIELD.
“The current kingdom that rules over Hyrule field is rumored to be the descendants of the Holy kingdom! We found it! It’s still here! It never left the area! It was never destroyed! The kingdom has lasted through many years and it still exists today!” Marcus exclaimed the foundings with joy in his heart!
“We did it Marcus! Now we know the Holy Kingdom of Hyrule is our homeland!”
