Alex is a member of the football, wrestling, and track & field teams. As a member of the varsity wrestling team Alex has won three section championships, two league championships, three District III championships, a Southeast Regional championship and qualified for the state championships all three years. Alex is an offensive and defensive lineman for the first-place football team, and throws shotput and discus for the track & field team.
“What I like most about athletics would have to be the relationships you make with your teammates and coaches,” Alex said when asked about what he enjoys the most.
Alex said his most memorable was when he won his first varsity wrestling match. Alex also gives back to the community and school when he is not playing sports. He is actively involved in his church, the NL Mini-THON, and volunteers his time helping the youth wrestling program. After high school Alex plans to attend Williamson Trade School to study masonry.
Bentley Bartell is a member of the NL girls’ tennis team. When asked what she liked most about athletics she said, “Being part of a team and working together as well as making friends.”
Her most memorable moment was when Katie Miller tripped over the ball hopper! Bentley is very involved in the Northern Lebanon community, and participates in a variety of NL-related organizations. Bentley is actively involved in the NL Mini-THON, working hard to raise money to fight childhood cancer. She is also a member of NL’s Spanish Club, and has been rewarded for her hard work in the classroom by being accepted as a member of the National Honor Society.
After graduation Bentley plans to attend college and major in elementary education.
